David Angwenyi Joins OVC Expo Panel on Education, Training and Higher Learning

David Matara Angwenyi is an educator at Hopewell Valley Regional School District, New Jersey, USA. He has a Ph.D. in Leadership in Educational Administration from Capella University and a Master in Science Education from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. He completed undergraduate studies at Saint Peters University, Jersey City, New Jersey, with a biology major and a secondary education minor.

 

Angwenyi’s research focuses on the influence of short-term travel abroad on high school students before college.

 

David Angwenyi is a philanthropist who enjoys collaborating with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds to bring about positive changes in communities, locally and globally.

 

He is the Founder of Global Connections Foundation (GCF), a non-profit organization with a mission to empower individuals to develop financial independence and build resilient communities in underserved and under-resourced villages in Kenya by providing access to the tools, knowledge, and resources to achieve their educational, professional, and entrepreneurial goals.

 

David Angwenyi is the Founder/CEO of Global Connections Kenya, a travel-with-purpose company that links American and Kenyan communities through unique cultural exchange travel initiatives.

 

David Angwenyi’s teaching career is marked by several historical achievements, including the implementation of a flagship program of educational diplomacy to link American and Kenyan communities through purposeful travel that includes KCDI and the establishment of Risaga Connection Services at Nyanchonori.

 

David Angwenyi is married to Judith Angwenyi, and they have four children: Juliana, Benjamin, Joshua, and Jonathan.
